Award-winning after-dinner speaker – Wag of the Year Glasgow 2007, Wag of Wags 2009, Wag of the Year Aberdeen 2010 – Sandy Strang has also won acclaim as a performer on the Burns circuit.Sandy is vastly experienced in delivering right across the entire spectrum of Burns Suppers and events – from the long-established traditional Burns Clubs – Bridgeton, Irvine, Paisley – to the burgeoning Burns corporate scene – RBS in Edinburgh, NATO North in Stavanger – to smaller, more intimate Burns gatherings.
Sandy has also performed – twice - before nearly 1,000 people at the self-proclaimed Largest Burns Supper in the World, hosted by the Lord Provost of Glasgow, a prestigious event broadcast worldwide on the internet. Sandy’s diary for 2011 already includes an invitation to deliver the ‘Immortal Memory’ at a Gala Burns Supper in Edinburgh’s illustrious Hopetoun House, and a ‘Toast to the Lassies’ at a Historic Scotland-sponsored Burns Extravaganza in the magnificent setting of Stirling Castle.
